Juried Competition Winner Dannielle Bowman was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She received a BFA from The Cooper Union in 2011 and an MFA from The Yale School of Art in 2018. “Dannielle Bowman’s work is engaged with ideas around time, history, landscape and visibility. She is particularly interested in how various landscapes have been used throughout history by certain people to gain power over others. In her work, she is asking questions about privilege and power gained through access to land and information.
