Joseph Maida is an artist based in New York City. His work expores enduring, if outmoded, notions of postwar domesticity as they relate to both the American home and the United States’ identity from within and abroad.
He teaches photography at the School of Visual Arts, SUNY Purchase, and Yale University’s School of Art.
